Priorities for
Accommodation.
Due
to the high demand for our accommodation and conditions of some funding
bodies, the Committee of Management has established a set of priorities and
guidelines for bookings at the House, and they are:
-
Priority 1
– The families of paediatric patients attending the Latrobe Regional
Hospital or the families of sick children, who in the process of receiving
paediatric treatment in Melbourne and due to the distances they are
required to travel would benefit from the use of the House facilities.
-
Priority 2
– Oncology patients at the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre and their families
and the families of in-patients at the Latrobe Regional
Hospital who reside more than 100 kilometres from the Hospital.
-
Priority 3
- Oncology patients at
the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre and their families and the families of
in-patients at the Latrobe Regional
Hospital who reside between 50 and 100 kilometres from the Hospital.
-
Priority 4
– Other patients and their families attending the Latrobe Regional
Hospital.
The House will also attempt where practical to temporarily accommodate the
families of emergency patients. The above priorities will apply to those
families when reasonable time permits alternative accommodation arrangements
to be made.
Application for bookings
may be made directly to the House Manager or by contacting a Social Worker
when at the Latrobe Regional Hospital.
Accommodation
Costs.
The
aim of the Committee of Management is to keep the costs to the families at
an absolute minimum. This has been achieved through community fundraising
and the support of philanthropic trusts and businesses.
Accommodation costs are
subject to change and should be confirmed with the House Manager prior to
arrival at Centenary House.
